He’s back

February 2007 sees publication of Phil’s fourth novel, Freak of Nature. Imaginatively bold and captivatingly funny, the novel takes the story of the John and Mick McDonald – conjoined twin brothers – and turns it into an examination of the very nature of the human self. Fans of Phil’s earlier writing will find Freak of Nature as intelligent and entertaining as any of its predecessors. In the meantime, Phil is busy judging the first Book of the Year Award for the Arts Council-sponsored creative writing website YouWriteOn. Phil has been literary consultant to the site since its inception.
